Privacy Policy
Rendezvous turns a photo of a flyer into a calendar file. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and honest.
Last updated July 3, 2026
The short version
- We use your flyer photo only to read the event details on it, then to show them back to you.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't show you ads.
- You can delete your events, and you can delete your whole account, at any time.
- We keep your photo only as long as we need it to make your calendar file.
Who we are
Rendezvous (“Rendezvous,” “we,” “us”) runs the website at rdvo.us. This policy covers that website and the service it provides. If you have any question about your privacy, email privacy@rdvo.us and a real person will answer.
The company behind Rendezvous is [Company Legal Name], [address]. If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, we are the “controller” of your personal information.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to do the job you asked us to do.
- Your account details. Your name and email address, which come from the sign-in step. We use these to sign you in, save your events, and email you about your account.
- The photos you scan. When you photograph a flyer, we receive that image so we can read the event details from it.
- The event details. The title, date, time, and location we pull from your photo, plus any edits you make on the review screen.
- Usage information. How many scans you’ve done, so we can apply your monthly limit, and basic technical logs to keep the service running and safe.
- Payment information. If you upgrade to Pro, our payment provider (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
What we'll email you
We keep emails to the essentials. No marketing blasts, no newsletter you didn’t ask for.
- Signing in. A one-time link to your email so you can sign in without a password.
- Payment receipts. If you upgrade to Pro, our payment provider (Stripe) sends you a receipt for each payment.
- Important changes. If we make a meaningful change to these terms or this Privacy Policy, we’ll email you before it takes effect.
That’s it. We won’t email you to advertise, and we don’t sell your email address to anyone who would.
How we use your photo
This is the part people care about most, so here it is plainly: your flyer photo is sent to an artificial-intelligence service that reads the text in it and returns the event details. We use the result to fill in your review screen and build your calendar file.
- We do not use your photos to train AI models.
- We do not sell your photos or share them for advertising.
- We delete your flyer photo within seconds of reading it — we don't keep the image. (A daily cleanup catches anything a technical hiccup left behind.)
The companies that help us run Rendezvous
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service. They only handle your information to do their specific job for us, and they are not allowed to use it for anything else.
- Clerk — signs you in and keeps your account secure.
- Convex — stores your events and, briefly, your photos.
- Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) — read the text in your flyer photo.
- Stripe — processes payments if you upgrade to Pro.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Where the law requires it, we rely on approved safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep things
- Photos: deleted within seconds of reading them — we don't keep flyer images.
- Events: kept so you can find them again. Free accounts see the last 30 days of history; Pro accounts keep full history.
- Account details: kept while your account is open, and deleted after you close it, except where we must keep a record for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices and rights
You are in control of your information. You can always:
- See the events we hold for you, on your history screen.
- Delete any event you no longer want.
- Delete your whole account at any time from the Account screen, which permanently removes your events and history.
- Ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct it.
To make any of these requests, email privacy@rdvo.us. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have extra rights, such as the right to object to certain uses or to complain to your local data-protection authority. We honor those rights and will never charge you or treat you differently for using them.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. You can read more on our Cookie Policy.
Children
Rendezvous is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Rendezvous, email us and we’ll remove the information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is important, we’ll do our best to tell you directly.
